ENC 1101
Welcome to the Writing Jungle, an environment full of opportunities and dangers. Here you will fight for respect and a place in the food chain.
Tigers are one of the biggest felines that exist. They are majestic and are at the top of the food chain. But to accomplish all of that and show all their respect in the jungle they must learn from they fellows and prove themselves worthy. In this ePortfolio, I will use the tiger as an analogy as myself, going through the world of writing and trying to show my capacities to the streak.
The color and the theme of this ePortfolio are aimed to not overwhelm the reader and also to bring a peaceful environment. For this, I use calm colors as a background such as green at the home page and further on mixed with some shades of brown.
I did not want to choose blue as a background, even though it is one of the calmest and serene colors, it would suggest more of the ocean than the jungle. However, I could use the color blue (and also other colors) for the text-boxes, resulting in a nice and harmonic way to keep the ePortfolio pleasant and not overwhelming
What to expect in this ePortfolio?
With this project, I am aiming for an organized, creative and entertaining way to approach this assignment. You should expect dynamic structure, maybe a little anticonventional, and also diferent concepts that I think will help express myself as clear as possible.
Different pictures, images or stickers will come along within the text-boxes in order to keep the reader entertained, this adds more flavor to the ePortfolio. As we move on and also as necessary, these images will be replaced with textual examples or visual support for any of the arguments that I will use in the future. Overall, the reader should be prepared for this format: text-boxes plus images. The pictures will not only be for amusement but also will help guide the reader to understand better on what they are reading.
As I said before, you and I will go on an adventure through the mighty Writing Jungle where our tiger will have to fight if he wants to survive. Throughout this ePortfolio, I will show the growth of a tiger, starting from a little defenseless cub to a fully grown tiger.
The tiger, that represents me, will pass from some of the phases that I consider most important during my progression in ENC 1101. We will see how he tries to defend himself in the jungle as a cub using what he has. Then learning how to expand his abilities and improve his skill, all of that to prepare himself for the important hunt. In the hunt, we will not just see how he used his skill but it also brings a prize, the better the hunt the bigger the bounty.
Finally, we will make some final reflexions to see how far we went on this journey of becoming a strong and mature tiger.
