The tiger now is ready to face all that is going to be put in his path. After all, how else is the tiger going to know what is he really capable of? Or even if he is doing the things correctly?

This section can easily be mistaken by a result section, but actually, this is where I will show the contrast of the grown tiger from the little cub. The hunting section is where all the learning is put to the test because I will analyze or shows examples of me putting my knowledge into the Major Paper Assignments which are a big chunk of the grade for this whole course.

So far knew how to identify the missing point, then later we collect information and tips on how to improve those point but now I am going to see how well I put all this information and strategies in practice. The tiger might know how to run fast, scratch a tree or even roar so firmly that might even cause the mightiest warrior will fall into his knees but, if he does not know how to go hunting and get his food, everything else would be in vain.

I want to use this section to take a look at the things that I improve in my Major Paper Assignments.

I would like to start with my Major Paper 2. After all the preparation, process work, drafts, brainstorming and revising it was finally moment to submit the paper. Here is the place where I can finally see if all my hard work really paid off, I made all the previous assignments and the real bounty is going to be the grade that I'll receive after this paper. I choose to analyze the Major Paper 2 instead of the first one because even though in the first one there were indeed many improvements, it was during the early semester so, I did learn all the techniques and strategies properly to actually apply it in my paper.

1 - I begin my paper starts with a brief summary of some of the important features in this essay, explaining the main concepts and trying to get my audience to understand the goal of this paper. This idea or strategy was very confusing for me in the past because I could not understand how to just briefly explain concepts without getting into too many details. But thanks to the many Reading Responses I could practice enough to feel more confident before writing an introduction. Is also worth mention that only thanks to the Rough Draft, which allow to make the first sketch to my introduction and show it to a tutor, I could really turn in something that made me proud, something that demonstrates that I am trying to show my best.

2 - Something else that I learn in the Writing Center is to be more direct and assertive when I am putting the goal or the main idea of the article in the introduction. I had everything I needed to have a good introduction because it was almost a summary of the Process Work, but it the past, instead of showing what I worked out in my Process Work I tried to make it blend into my essay and that, instead of make it cleaner, made it become more confusing. Since my Major Paper 2, I am trying to be more direct, using the tools that I have and answering the many questions that needs to be answered in the introduction. What is your paper about? What is your goal? How are you going to accomplish that?

Many others small adjustments were made to try to accomplish a better grade and even though from my Major Paper 1 to my Major Paper 3 my grades where only decreasing, the level of difficultness and expectancy was higher. And I was always trying to fix all the problems or misunderstanding that were put in front of me. Although my paper was getting better and better, sometimes I lost points for very silly mistakes (Like the formatting error of the figures) but instead of getting mad at myself and give up, I learn from the mistake and I fixed in the next paper, along with many other conceptual or structural mistakes.

Major Paper 3

The way I learn to introduce my quotes is a very big addition to my writing skills. If we recall a few sections ago, in my cub phase I just throw the quote in the middle of the paragraph, expecting that it made sense to the audience. Now, even though is not perfect, my technique differs a little bit. The following example is from the last Reading Response (number 15).

1 - I try to prepare the audience for a concept that is not mine but is going to support my argument.

2 - I give the quote.

3 - I explain the quote with my own words.

4 - Explain why is important to me.

5 - Explain why I brought that quote to this essay.

Along this course, I learn many other strategies that unfortunately there are not as clear to show as the one before. I learn how to reorganize my paragraphs just by moving them around in my draft. I realize how easier is to make a silly introduction and after the finish, the whole essay, come back to the introduction and rewrite it. Reading out loud is very important to see if your paper really makes sense of if it is effective and also having a peer review partner or even the tutor can help everybody improve their paper, even if it is a little bit. All those details made me become who I am today and since is the end of the semester, maybe I should take some time to think how different I was in the past, as a cub, from who I am right now a Tiger
